The Analytics User Experience
Page controls and navigation
After you sign-in
Educators have little extra time. ReadWrite Digital Analytics was designed in partnership with teachers, administrators, and education subject matter experts to maximize return on time invested. As a result, the user interface is simple and straightforward with data views built upon an experience already familiar to you: a spreadsheet. And yet, it is so much more.
After you successfully sign-in for the first time, you will see your Student Roster (see “Student Roster” below) with a list of all of the students you have access to. Upon subsequent sign-ins you will notice the first page you see was the last page you were on when you signed-out of your last session. In this manner, Analytics dispenses with useless rituals of starting off with a search you need to execute or a high-level “dashboard” you need to click through (unless that’s what you want) or even worse, a menu of options. You are working with data right away and every other option is one-click away.

Hopefully, you have noticed Analytics returns results quickly. On a network connection that meets 802.11 ethernet standards of about 10 Mbps, you should notice little delay in requests even though every page returned and every adjustment (sort, filter) to a data view is providing you a full query result, not just the data that has been downloaded to your browser. If you are experiencing performance issues, check your connection. Are other websites loading quickly? Try running an internet speed test from your browser, if your download speeds are below 4 Mbps, you may experience delays when requesting large amounts of data.
